On 29 September, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg organised an in-person conference in Brussels entitled ‘Changes that may affect human resources management in your company’, in collaboration with its partner organisation, SD Worx.

The event brought together around thirty HR professionals from Belgium, who were able to gain first-hand insight into some of the recent changes that may have an impact on employee management within companies and associations.

During the first part of the conference, the speakers, Valérie t’Serstevens and Sabine Umuhire, Legal Consultants at SD Worx, addressed the main challenges currently facing HR departments, particularly in relation to attracting and retaining talent, as well as the priorities and expectations that employees have today.

Throughout the session, Valérie and Sabine also analysed the European Pay Transparency Directive, which obliges EU member states to eliminate the gender pay gap and prohibit pay secrecy. They also presented the main features, options and benefits of the Federal Mobility Budget.
Finally, the speakers examined the key obligations that companies must take into account when managing their staff.
