The Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg and Aptus addressed Regulatory Compliance Challenges of 2026
The Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg, in collaboration with its member company Aptus, held an online conference on 8th October, entitled “Compliance Under Pressure: From Regulatory Chaos to an Actionable Plan”.
With regulatory deadlines scheduled for 2026 approaching, financial institutions and compliance professionals were facing an unprecedented convergence of demands. AML Package RTS, DORA, ESG/SFDR, and evolving Corporate Governance frameworks arriving simultaneously — the real challenge was no longer understanding each regulation in isolation but knowing how to prioritise them and translate them into an executable Compliance Monitoring Plan.
During the session, participants were given a practical and tool-driven perspective on how Boards and Chief Compliance Officers could move from understanding regulatory obligations to implementing concrete actions, using a Compliance Monitoring Plan as the central instrument for governance and risk management.
The speaker, Borja Gómez, Market Strategist at Aptus, walked participants through a concrete methodology — from gap analysis to risk-area prioritisation — and demonstrated through a live use case how the Aptus platform enables compliance testing and connects multiple regulatory frameworks in an integrated way.
The session closed with a Q&A segment.
