The Chamber holds a conference in Luxembourg on the implementation of the GDPR
On Thursday 18 June, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg, in collaboration with its partner firm Stellan Partners, organised a conference on the practical application of the GDPR, at which Audrey Rustichelli, head of the New Technologies, Data and Intellectual Property department at Stellan Partners, and Mar Ibáñez, a partner at the firm, presented an analysis of the latest developments in compliance and risk management.
The rapid evolution of digital technologies, in particular the growing use of AI and automated decision-making tools, is transforming the way in which personal data is collected, processed and protected. In this context, data protection has become a key factor, not only for legal compliance but also for risk management, corporate governance and corporate reputation. In this regard, the experts shared their insights to outline strategies that could help organisations address new data-related risks, including those arising from AI-based systems, whilst strengthening trust and accountability.
The event concluded with a session of practical Q&As and a networking drinks reception to strengthen professional ties.
