The Chamber and AMCHAM bring their members together for an afterwork event held in Luxembourg

The Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg, in collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg, organised an afterwork event on Wednesday 17 June for members of both chambers – an exclusive event sponsored by EY Luxembourg.

The gathering began with a welcome address by Luís Chamorro, a partner at EY Luxembourg, who expressed his delight at hosting the event. His welcoming remarks were followed by those of the Spanish Ambassador to Luxembourg, Nives Blanco Díaz; the Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy in Luxembourg, Lewis Gitter; and the General Secretaries of the Chambers: Marta González Benguria, representing the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg, and Paul Michael Schonenberg, representing AMCHAM.

During the meeting, members of both Chambers were able to forge professional links involving the two countries and explore business opportunities in a relaxed atmosphere.

Last Thursday, April 23, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg brought its members together in Luxembourg for an afterwork event designed to promote networking.

The gathering took place at the premises of member company Macellum, which provided attendees with a tasting of gourmet Spanish appetizers paired with wines from the Heras Cordón winery.

Throughout the evening, members had the opportunity to explore the business prospects provided by a professional network as robust as the one offered by the Chamber.

Celebrated the Afterwork among members with the presence of Belgian sculptor Viviane Brickmanne

The Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg held last Thursday 11th September a special members afterwork, in collaboration with ARTIAPLACE, where the Belgian sculptor Viviane Brickmanne presented several of her new works.

Resident in Madrid, the artist has an extensive career in which she has explored concepts such as “Air”, “Waste” and, more recently, “Brick”, transforming this element of construction and resignifying its use.

The event took place at the Vermutería Casa Duques, a new space in the Hotel Meliá Luxembourg that was created with the aim of bringing the authentic flavours of Spain to Luxembourg, mixing tradition and innovation.

The Chamber presents its new members in Luxembourg

Last Wednesday 13th November, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg organised an afterwork among members at the Melià Luxembourg Hotel.

During the event, the Chamber gave the opportunity to its new members from Luxembourg to present their business projects to the other members attending the event. Thus, Anidris Academy, KPMG, Laura Prades Claessens and CSC Group made themselves known in front of the Chamber’s network in Luxembourg.

With the celebration of afterworks, the Chamber seeks to promote networking and the generation of business opportunities among its partners.

Last Thursday, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg organized an afterwork among members at the Eurostars Montgomery Hotel (Av. de Tervueren 134, 1150 Brussels).

More than twenty members participated in the event, and were able to network in a relaxed atmosphere for about two hours, in line with the Chamber’s objective of generating business opportunities.

On May 2nd, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg held an afterwork among members at the Brigit Art Gallery (Rue de Rollebeek 36, 1000 Brussels), coinciding with the opening of the retrospective exhibition of the artist Ramón Lombarte.

With this initiative the Chamber seeks to promote networking and the generation of business opportunities among its members, who were able to enjoy a cocktail during the opening of the exhibition.

Last Thursday 26^th of October, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg held an afterwork among its members in Luxembourg, in the Hotel Meliá Luxembourg.

The event counted with the collaboration of Meliá and Artiaplace, and during the celebration of the Afterwork, the new art exhibition of the Spanish artist Esther Moreno was presented. Artiaplace is a partner company of the Chamber dedicated to promoting the digital trade of works of art, supporting artists and collectors worldwide and contributing to the dissemination of art.

As usual, with this initiative the Chamber seeks to promote networking and the generation of business opportunities among its members, while they enjoyed a cocktail prepared by Meliá Luxembourg.

Last Thursday 13^th of July, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg held an afterwork among its members in Luxembourg, in the Hotel Parc Belair.

The event counted with the collaboration of Verónica Alcanda, CEO of Alcanda Matchmaking, who will present her recently published book “Por qué no encuentro pareja”. Alcanda Matchmaking is a partner company of the Chamber and pioneer of sentimental head-hunting, a method of finding a partner for senior executives using techniques used by professional headhunters.

During her speech, Alcanda explained the reasons that prompted her to write her new book, including her personal experiences and her professional career in the field of matchmaking over the last ten years.

After the presentation, attendees had the opportunity to exchange views with Alcanda in a relaxed atmosphere. As usual, with this initiative the Chamber seeks to promote networking and the generation of business opportunities among its members.

Last Thursday 22nd June, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg organised an afterwork between partners in Brussels, at the Eurostars Montgomery Hotel, in collaboration with Rafaël Álvarez Campa.

These events are an initiative of the Chamber which aims to promote networking and the generation of business opportunities among its members and entrepreneurs.

The event was attended by around 40 participants, including members of different companies associated to the Chamber, entrepreneurs and Spanish and European public bodies.

The attendees also had the opportunity to taste a selection of olive oils from Sotofermoso, a company that has recently joined the Chamber.

The afterwork among members in Luxembourg was held

Last Wednesday 19th of April, the second afterwork among members organised by the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg in Luxembourg was held. This face-to-face meeting enabled the exchange of contacts and networking among the members of the Chamber in the Grand Duchy. It was also a good occasion to keep updated with the members’ concerns and continue promoting initiatives of common interest. The event took place at the Meliá Luxembourg hotel and it gathered more than 60 representatives of company members.

During the afterwork, the Vice-President of the Chamber in Luxembourg, Joseba Arriortua, gave a welcoming speech and introduced the Spanish Ambassador to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, José María Rodríguez Coso. The floor was then given to the Secretary General, who introduced the company SD Worx, sponsor of the event. Hugues Thibaut, Public Affairs at SD Worx, spoke about his link to the Chamber for more than 6 years and Emilie Delannoy, Global Sales Consultant at SD Worx, highlighted the presence of SD Worx in Spain, specifically in Malaga, Barcelona and Madrid.
