The Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg, in collaboration with Baker McKenzie Luxembourg, has the pleasure to invite you to an informative breakfast about “Interactions between transfer pricing and VAT: another twist to increase” the next Wednesday 11 June, from 08:45 to 10:00, in the offices of Baker McKenzie Luxembourg (10-12 Boulevard Roosevelt, L-2450 Luxembourg).
Transactions between head offices and their branches are once again in the spotlight of European tax agencies, especially in the areas of VAT and transfer pricing. Growing litigation before the Court of Justice of the EU (CJEU) reflects the challenges companies face in complying with ever more stringent and evolving rules.
In this context, we invite you to a practical seminar with the participation of:
- Antonio Weffer, Transfer Pricing Partner, Baker McKenzie Luxembourg.
- Antonio Merino, Lawyer in charge of the VAT practice, Baker McKenzie Luxembourg.
- Antonio Albarran, VAT lawyer, Baker McKenzie Madrid.
The speakers will decipher the latest jurisprudential trends of the CJEU, the transfer pricing documentation requirements and the best practices to optimise the tax burden of your business group. A unique opportunity to resolve doubts and prepare your company for current and future regulatory challenges.
The session will be held in Spanish.
Free admission, registration is mandatory.

Next Tuesday 24th June, from 18:00 to 19:30, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg will organise an onsite training on ‘Communicating effectively to collaborate better: overcoming misunderstandings and building connections”, in collaboration with its member Laura Prades Claessens, coach and trainer.
Did you know that 70% of tensions in a company are caused by avoidable misunderstandings? Knowing how to communicate means developing the ability to listen actively, to avoid misinterpretations and to adapt to different communication styles to convey our messages effectively.
By better understanding our own communication style (and that of others), we can transform our daily exchanges into real levers of collaboration and effectiveness.
During this session, you will work on:
- The identification of the 3 major obstacles that sabotage our interactions: assumptions, lack of listening and misunderstandings related to styles.
- The discovery of the 4 communication profiles was inspired by Carl Jung’s research.
- How to adapt to different interlocutors to gain clarity, fluency and impact.
The event will take place in English/Spanish at the Chambre des Métiers in Luxembourg (2 Circuit de La Foire Internationale, 1347 Kirchberg).
Admission is free, registration is compulsory.
