The topic of the debate will be “Towards a more competitive and sustainable Europe: Regulatory modernization for businesses and the Green Deal”.

Next Tuesday 24th June, from 18:00 to 19:30, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg will organise an onsite training on ‘Communicating effectively to collaborate better: overcoming misunderstandings and building connections”, in collaboration with its member Laura Prades Claessens, coach and trainer.

Did you know that 70% of tensions in a company are caused by avoidable misunderstandings? Knowing how to communicate means developing the ability to listen actively, to avoid misinterpretations and to adapt to different communication styles to convey our messages effectively.

By better understanding our own communication style (and that of others), we can transform our daily exchanges into real levers of collaboration and effectiveness.

During this session, you will work on:

• The identification of the 3 major obstacles that sabotage our interactions: assumptions, lack of listening and misunderstandings related to styles.
• The discovery of the 4 communication profiles was inspired by Carl Jung’s research.
• How to adapt to different interlocutors to gain clarity, fluency and impact.

The event will take place in English/Spanish at the Chambre des Métiers in Luxembourg (2 Circuit de La Foire Internationale, 1347 Kirchberg).

The Chamber’s ordinary General Assembly will be held on 26th June. It will take place at 18:30 at the new premises of the Chamber (Avenue des Arts 1, 9^th floor, 1210 Brussels). The General Assembly is the statutory framework that enables members to participate, personally, in the life of our entity.

The presentation of candidatures, whether renewals or new appointments, for members of the Board of Directors, must be notified to the Secretary General of the Chamber in writing signed before 12 June (secretariageneral@e-camara.com) and must comply with the conditions set out in article 22 of the statutes of the Chamber.

It is hereby stated that, as from the publication of this notice of meeting, the members are entitled to consult and obtain at the registered office of the Chamber the documents subject to deliberation at this meeting and in particular, the Annual Accounts and Management Report for the financial year 2023 and the certifications of the Annual Accounts issued by the Auditor.

The General Assembly may be attended by members who are up to date with their membership fees five days prior to the General Assembly and who are registered on the official list of members. Members who are unable to attend the General Assembly may be represented by another member present. To do so, the member must send by e-mail to the attention of the Secretary General, a signed power of attorney, in which he/she grants his/her representation to another member, at least two working days before the date of the Assembly.

On 2^nd and 3^rd July 2025, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg will organise an online training on “Communication for European projects”, in collaboration with its member company Vision Communication Consultancy.

This webinar hosted by the trainer Ramón Vila, Director of Vision Communication, is focused on providing branding, public affairs, marketing, communication or community engagement professionals with the keys to execute and evaluate a comprehensive and effective communication campaign for their agencies, organisations, programmes and European projects.

During the first session, a presentation of EU communication will be given with an explanation of the different EU projects currently in existence. The reality of consortia in European projects and the need to adapt the project communication and dissemination strategy to different contexts will be explored.

The second session will focus on project communication, exploring the management of social networks, the different communication products, and the need for proper event management.

Throughout both sessions, participants will have the opportunity to learn about examples of good and bad practices of communication in different European projects and how to effectively design and manage a communication strategy in different projects granted by the EU.

On 15^th and 16^th and July, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg will organise an online training on “Public speaking and networking: How to understand and connect with your audience”, in collaboration with Masha Tarle, Communications Skills Trainer and Communication Expert.

This training is focused on providing professionals with the necessary tools to make presentations and talks oriented to the audience’s needs.

The training will be practical and based on scenarios and role plays.  Some of the situations that may be covered are the following:

• Introducing ourselves in a networking event, at the beginning of a speech, in a group situation
• Using our voice, face, and body to engage an audience that is ‘sleepy’ or uninterested
• Giving a great introduction for a speech or talk ( ‘catching their attention’)
• Dealing with a difficult audience
• Pitching our ideas or offers
• Preparing and structuring what we want to say
• Concluding a speech or meeting

The trainer will offer concrete tips based on her experience and research, to help participants improve their presence and impact, both in networking and in speaking in public.

Throughout the session, participants will have the opportunity to learn about examples of good and bad practices in public speaking and how to effectively design and manage an audience-focused communication strategy.

The training will be held in two sessions, from 9:00 am to 11:30 am.
