The Chamber participated in the 37th Network Meeting of the EYE programme
On the 21st and 22nd of October, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg participated in the 37th Networking Meeting of the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme, organised in Brussels by the European Commission, EISMEA and Eurochambres.
The event brought together Lead and Intermediary Organisations (IOs) to discuss the programme’s latest developments and priorities. The welcome session featured representatives of DG GROW and EISMEA, who highlighted quality as the foundation of entrepreneurs’ trust and the importance of building synergies across networks. Among the figures presented, EYE currently has around 850 ongoing exchanges, and 96% of participants report that their objectives were met.
Participants also took part in an IOs’ Forum, which explored how to help entrepreneurs access finance beyond the programme, consortium meetings and an “Ask me anything” session in which experienced IOs answered their peers’ questions. Workshops focused on the programme’s IT tool, the promotion of EYE in underrepresented countries and the assessment of complex applications.
The second day opened with an IOs’ matchmaking event, where each IO presented standout entrepreneurs to identify potential matches. It continued with a session on synergies with European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs), a network of more than 200 hubs supporting SMEs and start-ups in digital transformation and artificial intelligence.
Looking ahead, alumni of the programme are invited to the online EYE–EEN Matchmaking Event on 5 November, from 10:00 to 17:00 CET, focused on digital, green and sustainable solutions.
The Chamber continues to serve as the local contact point in Belgium and Luxembourg for:
- New or aspiring entrepreneurs based in Belgium or Luxembourg wishing to develop their business idea abroad alongside an experienced Host Entrepreneur.
- Experienced entrepreneurs (SMEs) in Belgium or Luxembourg interested in hosting a New Entrepreneur from another participating country.
