Event on "40 years of Spain and Portugal in the EU: shaping Europe’s Economic Future"

The Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg and the Belgian-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce are organising an onsite conference on “40 years of Spain and Portugal in the EU: shaping Europe’s Economic Future” next Monday 21^st September, from 16.00 to 19.30, which will take place in Hotel NH Collection Grand Sablon (Rue Bodenbroek 2, 1000 Brussels).

The event marks the 40^th anniversary of Spain and Portugal’s accession to the European Union, highlighting their contribution to European integration, their strategic role as global connectors for the EU and the role their companies play in shaping Europe’s future.

The programme will consist of an Institutional Dialogue between the State Secretaries for the European Union from Spain and Portugal, Fernando Sampedro and Inês Domingos, that will address the achievents of these last 40 years and the strategic outlook for the future.

This will be followed by a roundtable with the representatives of Iberian companies operating internationally on how Spain and Portugal can promote the Global Business Expansion in infrastructure, logistics or digital transformation within the framework of the EU Global Gateaway strategy, and their position as a bridge between Europe and Latin America and Africa.

The event will conclude with a Q&A session and a networking cocktail.
