Briefly describe your professional career.
Since April 2018 I have held the position of CEO of OneLife company, a Luxembourg life insurance company with more than 25 years. We have integrated the mutual French group APICIL at the beginning of 2019.
I joined OneLife in 2008 as Head of Tax & Legal & Group General Counsel. Before that, I held the position of Senior International Legal Advisor from 2001 to 2008 at Allianz and AGF (Assurances Générales de France) in Paris. From 1992 to 2001, I worked as a Senior Associate Advocate at Cabinet Karsenty & Associés in Paris.
I was admitted to the Advocates College of Paris in 1997 and graduated from the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po Paris). I have a professional postgraduate degree in Business Law from the University of Paris II (Assas), as well as a Master’s Degree in International Business Law from the University of Paris I (Pantheon of the Sorbonne).
Which activity does your company currently carry out in Luxembourg?
OneLife is a life insurance company with more than 25 years of active life in the development of asset management and estate planning solutions through “unit-linked” life insurance contracts.
With 100 specialists from nine European markets (including Luxembourg, Belgium and Spain), OneLife develops customized solutions for clients in Europe and beyond. OneLife manages more than 5 thousand millions euros in unit-linked insurance policies. This amount will reach 7.2 thousand millions by the end of 2019 with the approach of the other Luxembourg APICIL Group´s affiliate.

What link does your company have with Spain?
Due to the great local knowledge of the unit-linked insurance products and the existent Luxembourg offer, the Spanish market has been obviously imposed as a high potential growth market.
OneLife has developed this way its activity in the Spanish market since 2017, and it has significantly invest in their offer and equipment development. Since then, we have established solid alliances with suppliers and insurance intermediaries. In 2018, we represent our second market in terms of bonus collected.
As for the customers, we addressed two different groups: Spaniards residing in Spain, as well as expats who have settled in Spain to work or enjoy their retirement, for example. They come in particular from the Nordic countries, such as Sweden or Denmark, but also from the United Kingdom, France or Belgium.
What services can you offer to other members of the Chamber?
Our team of experts (in particular, in asset structure and investments) allows us to define innovative and efficient solutions that can be used today, but also in the future. We can define a totally customized solution according to the needs and assets of the client. Our experts in non-traditional assets can analyze and integrate in the contract non-listed assets such as Private Equity and Real Estate Funds.
Trust is a keyword for us. We wish to establish long-term relationships with our clients and several partners like: insurance brokers, Family Office, private banks, fund managers… That is why we give great importance to provide a high quality service through our network.
Therefore, our offer of services can benefit other members of the Chamber who want to have life insurance solutions for their clients (natural or legal person), their own partners, senior managers or employees.
