Shortly describe your professional career.
I was born and I grew up in Poland. At the age of 18, I migrated on my own to Germany where I graduated from the University of Passau (Business Administration). My career started at Berlitz, a worldwide provider for language training as a Director in the city of Kiel. In the north part of Germany, I established two more language schools and, finally, I moved to Luxembourg in 2007, in order to establish a language school for Berlitz there. After 12 years at Berlitz, I moved to the House of Training as Head of Sales. After five years, my next step was Maison Moderne, where I worked as Director of the Business Club and Sales. Finally, in 2022 I started my new adventure. This time, in the hospitality business, where I took over the position of Head of Business Development at Goeres Group.
Which activity does your company currently develop in Luxembourg?
We are a family business with four hotels, three restaurants, over 850 square meters of conference and meeting rooms. Few years ago, we dived into a new business as we started our own ice-cream production called Marcello. Our focus is on further development of our hotels, restaurants and events business, knowing that the niche of the ice-cream production is an additional interesting challenge for us.
What added value does your company offer in Luxembourg compared to its competitors?
Our most important added value is that we are a family-run company, a Luxemburgish one. Above that, we offer not only overnight stays but also restaurants and meeting/conference rooms for corporate and private events, and even our homemade ice cream.
What link does your company maintain with Spain?
We serve not only Spanish corporates based in Luxembourg, but also Spanish travel agencies bringing Spanish tourists to Luxembourg, especially in the summer time.
