Shortly describe your professional career.

In 1982, I graduated with a Master of Business Administration from the École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC) of the University of Lausanne in Switzerland. I started my career working at HEC and as a Chartered Accountant in a Swiss trust company.

In 1983, I came back to Luxembourg and worked for Arthur Andersen & Co. and in 1984 I started my career at FIDUCIAIRE FERNAND FABER, Luxembourg.

I am a member of the Luxembourg Institute of Certified Public Accountants (Ordre des Experts-Comptables). I am a certified independent auditor and have been acting as Managing Partner of FIDUCIAIRE FERNAND FABER since 1987.

For more than 12 years, I was President of the Quality Control Commission of our Institute of Chartered Accountants. I am also a court appointed expert in accounting and tax.

Which activity does your company currently develop in Luxembourg?

We are a family-owned business working in the trust business and in financial engineering, offering a full range of administration, accounting, and tax consultancy services. We also offer consolidation services and family office services to our clients. Our main objective is to offer professional and personalized services.

What added value does your company offer in Luxembourg compared to its competitors?

We are a family-owned business existing for more than 75 years, managed by the third generation of the founder. We are privately owned and operate as a boutique firm, offering high quality and personalized services. Our firm comprises a team of multinational professionals, including chartered accountants and international tax experts, as well as a specialized consolidation team.

Due to our experience of more than 75 years in the international market and thanks to our links with one of the top international networks, HLB, we can offer services to our clients on a global, worldwide basis. Since 2024, we have opened an office in Qatar and, for many years, we have our own offices in Dublin and Cyprus.

How do you think the Spanish Financial Forum can add value to the financial services industry in Luxembourg and its professionals?

We consider that Luxembourg, as an international financial center and banking place, can bring added value to the Spanish Financial Forum and vice versa. During the last 20 years, Luxembourg has moved from a purely financial center to an international global business center, offering advantages to industrial and financial groups.

Here in Luxembourg, we are always eager to attract international clients coming from Spain who wish to establish a base in Luxembourg for developing their international business throughout Europe and across the global market. Luxembourg is a very international place – in the capital, more than 90 different nationalities live – and the manpower is highly educated and international, which should allow a win-win exchange with the Spanish Financial Forum.
