The Chamber and Netflix organised an exclusive screening of “El Cautivo” and a dinner-discussion with Alejandro Amenábar and Fernando Bovaira
On 14 January, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg held an extraordinary cultural event in Brussels, organised in collaboration with Netflix, to mark the release of the film El Cautivo, based on Miguel de Cervantes‘ period of captivity in Algiers.
The day began with an exclusive screening at the BOZAR art centre, attended by high-profile Spanish guests in Brussels, institutional representatives and Spanish professionals with responsibilities in European institutions.
After the screening, attendees gathered at the Hispania Brussels restaurant for a dinner-colloquium with the film’s director, Alejandro Amenábar, and producer Fernando Bovaira, accompanied by other invited personalities. During the colloquium, key aspects of the creative process and the historical vision that inspired the work were discussed.
