On November 25, 2025, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg organized a guided tour of the Council of State of Luxembourg.

The President of the Council of State, Marc Thewes, accompanied the attendees on the visit and explained in detail the functions of this institution, how it operates, and who its members are.

The Council of State of Luxembourg is an advisory body to the Luxembourgish executive that advises the government of the Grand Duchy and the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg, issuing opinions on draft and proposed legislation and on their compliance with the national Constitution. It also has important functions in regulatory and administrative matters.

The Council of State is a building generally closed to the public, which was exceptionally opened for the Chamber’s members for this guided tour.
