The Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg will organise a cocktail among members on 26 March between 18:30 and 20:00 at the Innside by Meliá Hotel (12 Rue Henri I M. Schadt, 2530 Luxembourg) on the occasion of the launch event of the initiative ‘Women who inspire’, female leadership to make a difference in Luxembourg. This initiative, focused on sectors of all types, but especially the financial sector, aims to strengthen women’s leadership, recognising and connecting the talent of Spanish-speaking professionals who develop their careers in the Grand Duchy.
During the cocktail, success stories of professionals who can inspire other women will be presented and there will be a series of dynamics that will allow all participants to interact.

Next Friday, 25th April, the Chamber is organising a guided corporate visit to the Interuniversity Microelectronics Centre (imec), with partner companies and other organisations interested in getting to know first-hand the world’s largest independent research and innovation centre for nanoelectronics and digital technology.
The visit will start at 9.00am and will include a tour of the imec lab cleanroom and a presentation by imec Vice President Jo de Boeck.
Although the meeting point for the visit will be the imec premises (Remisebosweg 1, 3001 Leuven), the Chamber will arrange a bus from Brussels, leaving from Rue de Loxum (in front of the cathedral). The bus will leave at 8.15 a.m. and will return after the visit at 12.30 p.m.

On 14th and 15th May 2024, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg will organise an online training on “Communication for European projects”, in collaboration with its member company Vision Communication Consultancy.
This webinar hosted by the trainer Ramón Vila, Director of Vision Communication, is focused on providing branding, public affairs, marketing, communication or community engagement professionals with the keys to execute and evaluate a comprehensive and effective communication campaign for their agencies, organisations, programmes and European projects.
During the first session, a presentation of EU communication will be given with an explanation of the different EU projects currently in existence. The reality of consortia in European projects and the need to adapt the project communication and dissemination strategy to different contexts will be explored.
The second session will focus on project communication, exploring the management of social networks, the different communication products, and the need for proper event management.
Throughout both sessions, participants will have the opportunity to learn about examples of good and bad practices of communication in different European projects and how to effectively design and manage a communication strategy in different projects granted by the EU.

Next Friday, May 16, 2025, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg is organizing a guided corporate visit to the Port of Antwerp, one of the largest ports in Europe and the second largest in terms of total cargo transported.
Its central location, extensive transport connections and great infrastructure make the Port of Antwerp an excellent choice for business.
Patrick Van Cauwenberghe, Business Development Officer of the Port of Antwerp for the United Kingdom, will be in charge of welcoming the participants.
During the visit, the participants will be able to see first-hand the Port’s facilities (the spaces destined for RORO, containers, general cargo, the chemical cluster, its Next Gen projects and sustainable initiatives, its rail connections…).
After the visit, a networking lunch will be held in a restaurant.
Although the meeting point for the visit will be the Antwerp Port Authority building (Zaha Hadidplein, 1), the Chamber will provide a direct bus from Brussels. More information on schedules coming soon.

Next 18 and 19 June, from 9.00 am, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg organises the online training ‘Programmes and opportunities available under the Erasmus+ programme’, a course given by the business developer at CWC Consulting and EU project writer Paloma Cantero, member of the EmprendeBeLux programme.
This workshop will allow educational centres, or public or private companies committed to education to better understand the Erasmus+ programme and the different funding opportunities through its different actions.
Specifically, the training will go in depth into the different types of projects offered by the programme and the main novelties and sources of funding recently incorporated into the programme. It will also explain how to start using the programme’s electronic platform.

Next July 16, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg, will organize an Onsite training on “Public Speaking and Networking: How to understand your audience and connect with them”, in collaboration with Masha Tarle, trainer in communication skills and communication expert.
This training is focused on providing professionals with the keys to make presentations and speeches oriented to the needs of the audience.
The first session will be of a preparatory and more theoretical nature, offering advice on what aspects should be taken into account when preparing a presentation.
In the second session, participants will be able to put into practice and focus on how to address the audience during a speech and the importance of words and their proper use.
Throughout both sessions, participants will have the opportunity to learn examples of good and bad practices in public presentations and how to effectively design and manage a communication strategy focused on the audience.
The training will take place at the Chamber’s offices (Rue Belliard 20, 1st floor) and will be held throughout the day, from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.

In order to respond to the demand for professionals in the Luxembourg financial sector, the Chamber organises the second edition of the training programme ‘Introduction to the Luxembourg financial market’. This programme enables candidates to acquire the necessary skills to work in the banking sectors, the fund and insurance industry and, more generally, in the Luxembourg financial sector.
The training offers a consolidation of the fundamental principles of finance and provides both theoretical and operational knowledge, adapted to the Luxembourg context to ensure a good adaptation to the labour market. It will take place on a face-to-face basis from 1 to 12 September in Luxembourg at the Chambre des Métiers Luxembourg (2 Circuit de La Foire Internationale, 1347 Kirchberg Luxembourg), and at the end of the course a 6-month contract in a company in the financial sector will be offered.
Applications for admission should be sent to luxemburgo@e-camara.com, including a duly completed application form, CV, motivation letter, copy of the diploma with the subjects taken and the corresponding marks before 11 April at 12:00 (Brussels time).
The training is organised over two weeks, with 4 hours per day. The selection procedure allows for the selection of 20 participants, so the sessions will be interactive, offering hands-on experience with real work scenarios. The lecturers will be renowned professionals from the Luxembourg financial sector.

The training on “Advocacy strategies in the EU” returns to Brussels. On 18 and 19 November, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg is holding the seventh edition in Spanish of one of its top trainings, in hybrid format.
Now more than ever, the European Union plays a key role in the establishment of the regulatory framework in which companies work. For this reason, this course offers the opportunity to acquire a global vision of the functioning and competencies of the EU institutions, as well as the various communication channels with them, in order to provide participants with the knowledge and tools that will enable them to establish effective communication with the European authorities.
The course will be taught by renowned professionals from a wide range of backgrounds: multinationals, specialised consultancies, business organisations, senior European officials, etc. and will include practical case studies that will bring you closer to the day-to-day running of the Brussels bubble.
In addition, those who choose to attend the course on-site will be able to visit the European Parliament and the Permanent Representation of Spain to the EU, where they will explain how they work and what the role of the Council is.
