Extraordinary General Assembly 2024 held in Luxembourg
On December 9, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg held its 2024 Extraordinary General Assembly in Luxembourg, at the INNSiDE by Meliá Luxembourg hotel.
It was attended by a large number of members and was attended by the Honorary President, the Ambassador of Spain in Luxembourg, Mr. José María Rodríguez Coso, and the Economic and Commercial Counselor, María Ortiz.
The assembly began with a minute of silence for the recent death of the former Honorary President of the Chamber between 2018 and 2022, Mrs. Beatriz Larrotcha, Ambassador of Spain in Belgium in that period.
The event served to approve the budget of the Chamber for the year 2025, a “moderately optimistic” budget for a year in which the Chamber will move its headquarters in Brussels to new and more modern facilities.
In addition, the Assembly took stock of the activities carried out in 2024 and presented the activities planned in the Grand Duchy for the coming year 2025, with the aim of maintaining the upward growth trajectory that the delegation in Luxembourg has developed in recent times.
Ambassador Rodriguez Coso offered a brief word of thanks to the Chamber for its work of business dynamization in Luxembourg to close the Assembly.
Finally, the check for 14,099 Euros collected thanks to the solidarity dinner held last December 4 to help the victims of the Dana in Valencia was handed over. The full amount will be sent to Caritas Valencia so that it can continue with its humanitarian work in the affected municipalities.
