Launch event of the ‘Women Who Inspire’ initiative held in Luxembourg
The Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg organized a cocktail on 26 March, at the Innside by Meliá Hotel, to mark the launch of the ‘Women who inspire’ initiative, a space that highlighted female leadership in Luxembourg.
This project, focused on all types of sectors, but especially the financial sector, aims to strengthen women’s leadership, recognising and connecting the talent of Spanish-speaking professionals who develop their careers in the Grand Duchy.
During the event, a round table discussion was organised with the participation of Síofra O’Leary, European judicial pioneer and first woman to preside over the European Court of Human Rights, Rosa Villalobos, Managing Director at Macquaire Aset Management Luxembourg, expert in financial services and M&A and Sara Cantelar, entrepreneur and founder of Sense Living Spaces. During the colloquium, topics such as the role of women in leadership positions, the challenges they face in the workplace and the progress made in gender equality in the public and private sectors were discussed. Initiatives were also proposed and tips were shared to encourage female participation in the professional sphere.
At the end of the round table, participants had the opportunity to network and broaden their professional connections.
