On 15th and 16th and July, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg will organise an online training on “Public speaking and networking: How to understand and connect with your audience”, in collaboration with Masha Tarle, Communications Skills Trainer and Communication Expert.
This training is focused on providing professionals with the necessary tools to make presentations and talks oriented to the audience’s needs.
The training will be practical and based on scenarios and role plays. Some of the situations that may be covered are the following:
- Introducing ourselves in a networking event, at the beginning of a speech, in a group situation
- Using our voice, face, and body to engage an audience that is ‘sleepy’ or uninterested
- Giving a great introduction for a speech or talk ( ‘catching their attention’)
- Dealing with a difficult audience
- Pitching our ideas or offers
- Preparing and structuring what we want to say
- Concluding a speech or meeting
The trainer will offer concrete tips based on her experience and research, to help participants improve their presence and impact, both in networking and in speaking in public.
Throughout the session, participants will have the opportunity to learn about examples of good and bad practices in public speaking and how to effectively design and manage an audience-focused communication strategy.
The training will be held in two sessions, from 9:00 am to 11:30 am.

In order to respond to the demand for professionals in the Luxembourg financial sector, the Chamber organises the second edition of the training programme ‘Introduction to the Luxembourg financial market’. This programme enables candidates to acquire the necessary skills to work in the banking sectors, the fund and insurance industry and, more generally, in the Luxembourg financial sector.
The training offers a consolidation of the fundamental principles of finance and provides both theoretical and operational knowledge, adapted to the Luxembourg context to ensure a good adaptation to the labour market. It will take place on a face-to-face basis from 1 to 12 September in Luxembourg at the Chambre des Métiers Luxembourg (2 Circuit de La Foire Internationale, 1347 Kirchberg Luxembourg), and at the end of the course a 6-month contract in a company in the financial sector will be offered.
Applications for admission should be sent to luxemburgo@e-camara.com, including a duly completed application form, CV, motivation letter, copy of the diploma with the subjects taken and the corresponding marks before 11 April at 12:00 (Brussels time).
The training is organised over two weeks, with 4 hours per day. The selection procedure allows for the selection of 20 participants, so the sessions will be interactive, offering hands-on experience with real work scenarios. The lecturers will be renowned professionals from the Luxembourg financial sector.
The training will be helded in English.

The Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg is pleased to invite you to an informative conference on “Entrepreneurship in Luxembourg from €1 of capital: practical guide and grants for entrepreneurship“, which will take place on Tuesday 9 September at 18:30 at the Spanish Centre (72 Grand-Rue, 1660 Ville-Haute Luxembourg). This conference is aimed at people interested in starting a business activity in the Grand Duchy, as well as entrepreneurs seeking to better understand the resources available to boost their projects.
The event features the collaboration of Maria Catalán, founder & Managing Director of Planinlux, who will present in a practical way how to set up a company in Luxembourg with a minimum share capital of just €1, through the figure of the Société à responsabilité limitée simplifiée (Sàrl-S). In addition, the main public aid, support programmes and financing mechanisms in place for entrepreneurs, including subsidies, will be presented.
For its part, the Chamber will present the support programmes for entrepreneurship, EmprendeBeLux and the European programme Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs (EYE).

The training on “Advocacy strategies in the EU” returns to Brussels. On 18 and 19 November, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg is holding the seventh edition in Spanish of one of its top trainings, in hybrid format.
Now more than ever, the European Union plays a key role in the establishment of the regulatory framework in which companies work. For this reason, this course offers the opportunity to acquire a global vision of the functioning and competencies of the EU institutions, as well as the various communication channels with them, in order to provide participants with the knowledge and tools that will enable them to establish effective communication with the European authorities.
The course will be taught by renowned professionals from a wide range of backgrounds: multinationals, specialised consultancies, business organisations, senior European officials, etc. and will include practical case studies that will bring you closer to the day-to-day running of the Brussels bubble.

The President of the Council of State, Marc Thewes will be accompanying us on the visit, and will explain in detail the functions of this institution, how it works and who its members are.
The Luxembourg Council of State is a consultative body of the Executive that advises the government of the Grand Duchy and the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg, providing opinions on draft and proposed laws and on their compliance with the national Constitution. It also has important regulatory and administrative functions.
The Council of State is a building closed to the public generally, which will be opened exceptionally for members of the Chamber on this guided tour.
The tour will be conducted in English. Places are limited.
