Day of Spain 2023
On 7th October, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., the third edition of Spain Day will be held on the Groenplaats in Antwerp. The activity will focus on Spain as a tourist destination, showcasing its gastronomic and leisure offer.
Through this activity, we want to reaffirm the image of Spain as a first class tourist destination, showcasing the plurality of the cultural, holiday and leisure offer of our country and positioning ourselves as an example to follow.
Discover Spain in one place:
Feel: Spanish culture has a lot to offer. Come and discover our music, dance and performing arts.
Explore: Spain offers a wide variety of destinations, activities and landscapes. Explore with us how to make your trip the most enriching experience.
Taste: Discover some of the most traditional dishes of Spanish cuisine through a map of flavours. Meat, fish, oil, cheese, wine, cava and much more. Come and try them.
Learn: Do you dream of studying or working in Spain? Come and discover all the possibilities to make your mobility a reality.
Play: Children also have their space to create, learn, play and explore Spain. All activities are completely free of charge.

11.30-12.00: Flamenco Peña Al Andalus.
12.30-13.00: Doble mandoble (street performance).
13.30-14.30: Gipsy Deal.
15.15-16.15: Table for Three.
16.45-17.15: Doble mandoble (street performance).
18.00-19.00: DJ RDXN.
Live Painting: By graffiti artist Thyl Seeger.
Galicia Stand: Tastings of chocolates (Pedras de Santiago) and liqueurs (at 12:00, 14:00 and 16:00).
Murcia Stand : Tastings of wine, roe and mojama with almonds.
Fundación Carlos de Amberes Stand : Guided tour organised by the Fundación Carlos de Amberes to the church of St Charles Borromeo. From 14:30h to 16h, meeting at the ACdA stand at 14:15. The visit will be in Dutch and/or Spanish. Please register at the following e-mail address: cda@carlosdeamberes.org.
Stand of the Spanish Tourist Office in Belgium: Raffle of a basket of Spanish products.
Imagine Travel Stand: Raffle of a three-day trip to Seville for two people.
Children’s activities: El camino de Santiago.
How to get there:
The Groenplaats is easily accessible via the following lines:
Tram: 3, 4, 5, 9, 15; Groenplaats station.
Bus: 22, 180, 181, 182, 183; Groenplaats stop.
By car: There are four car parks located next to the Groenplaats.
By train: Get off at Antwerp Central Station. From there, metro lines 3, 5, 9 and 15 will take you to the Groenplaats.
