The Chamber and the Instituto Cervantes sign a collaboration agreement
The Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg and the Instituto Cervantes have recently signed a collaboration agreement for the joint promotion of training activities.
The aim of the agreement is to establish a general framework for collaboration between the two institutions to promote the organisation of training courses, workshops and other types of events aimed at promoting the use of the Spanish language and knowledge of Spanish culture. By virtue of the agreement, both organisations will collaborate with each other in the dissemination of their respective training activities.
In addition, the Chamber will give visibility to the Spanish teaching courses offered by the Cervantes Institute, which this year have received the homologation by the Belgian education authorities. Thanks to this, its students can benefit from the public aid that the Belgian State offers for the training of professionals.
On the other hand, the Chamber of Commerce and the Cervantes Institute have committed through this agreement to organise an annual activity in the Cervantes facilities in Brussels, preferably aimed at members of the Chamber and focused on topics related to tourism, heritage, gastronomy or oenology.
Last Thursday, November 9th, the president of the Chamber, Pablo López-Álvarez, and the director of the Brussels centre, Ana Vázquez, on behalf of the director of the Cervantes Institute, Luis García Montero, signed the agreement at the premises of the entity in the European capital.
