Final Conference of the European Project Soft Improve
Last Thursday, January 30, 2025, the final conference of the Soft Improve project, “Transforming Careers: The Role of Soft Skills in Entrepreneurship”, took place at Silversquare Europe, organized by the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg.
This initiative, co-financed by Erasmus+ funds of the European Union, addressed the fundamental role of Soft Skills in employability and entrepreneurship, highlighting their growing importance in an increasingly dynamic and competitive job market. The conference emphasized how these skills have become key competencies for tackling the challenges of a constantly evolving professional environment. Additionally, it underscored the increasing demand for accessible training in these skills, facilitated through projects such as Soft Improve.
Attendees had the opportunity to learn firsthand about current trends in soft skills, explore the Soft Improve e-learning platform presented by the Chamber and the available courses, as well as discover the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs program, which promotes mobility and practical learning for entrepreneurs in Europe.
Additionally, a roundtable discussion on best practices in the soft skills sector was also held, featuring employability and entrepreneurship experts Jef Willem, founder of Onbespreekbaar, and Jan Laurijssen, from SD Worx and a researcher at the University of Antwerp. This discussion generated an engaging debate and exchange of ideas among participants.
To conclude the conference, a networking cocktail was held, providing an invaluable opportunity to establish connections and strengthen professional networks.
