From September 1 to 12, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg held the second edition of the training program “Introduction to the Luxembourg Financial Market”, aimed at providing participants with the skills necessary to work in the financial sector of the Grand Duchy.

During the two-week course, participants were able to deepen their understanding of fundamental finance principles, building on their prior knowledge as graduates in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, International Relations, Financial Markets, or Law with an economic specialization.

The main added value of the program lies in its focus on adapting these concepts to the Luxembourgish financial industry. To this end, the Chamber designed an agenda of masterclasses taught by leading professionals from renowned companies in the sector, such as Anidris Academy, Bank Julius Baer, Caceis, CMS Luxembourg, Deloitte Luxembourg, DLA Piper Luxembourg, EY Luxembourg, Luxembourg for Finance, PwC Luxembourg, and the European Investment Bank (EIB).

First Work Experience in Luxembourg

After completing the training course and passing the corresponding selection processes, the young graduates will receive a six-month paid contract with one of the program’s partner companies, allowing them to apply what they have learned and gain their first work experience in the sector.

At the close of the second edition, due to the high level of satisfaction among participants and partner companies, the Chamber is preparing to take the first steps toward organizing a third edition of the program in 2025.
