Success on the second edition of the workshop “EU Funding – Project Management”

Last 15th and 16th of November, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg, in collaboration with Swan Consulting, organized the second edition of the workshop “Development and Management of EU projects”, run by Jorge Cisneros, consultant on EU affairs.

The course during this second edition, reached full capacity, as in the first one. During both days the attendees learned about the opportunities of the European financing through the EU programs, as the participation and management process. Furthermore, the speaker explained how to identify calls, elaborate proposals, and carry out the management of the approved projects.

Cisneros encouraged the interaction among the participants, who expressed their doubts, opinions and experiences with the European projects. This led to networking as well as some potential collaborations.

Success of the 7th Workshop on Social Media Management for Business and European Projects

Last 26th and 27th of October, the Chamber held the 7th edition of the Workshop on Social Media Management and European projects, in order to promote the image of business in the European market.

During the first day, after everyone’s presentations, the teacher Philippe Schifflers (@Philschifflers) started by explaining the role of a Community Manager, as well as their main characteristics and attributes. He also showed some of the most relevant tools that any social media manager should know. On the other hand, he explained how to elaborate a social media strategy and how to measure the ROI of our strategy. Finally, he focused on the social networks Facebook and Google +, explaining on the first place some useful data about each one of them, how to correctly use them in a company and, lastly, some success cases and best practices.

During the second day, Schifflers explained several social media networks: Twitter, Youtube, LinkedIn, Instagram and Pinterest. At the same time, he described the different functions that each one of those networks can offer and how companies can use them in order to create engagement and position their brands. Lastly, he focused on how to use Hootsuite, a Social Media Platform Management which is very useful in order to manage different accounts at the same time as well as plan the content to be distributed in each one of them. Hootsuite is a very helpful tool that may make Community Manager’s work much easier.

The workshop took place in a very participative and dynamic atmosphere, in which the participants had the opportunity to know the basis of a good social media management in their particular positions at institutions, organizations and companies.

 

The Chamber signs an agreement with Instituto Cervantes to promote the use of Spanish for business in BeLux

The President of the Chamber, Juan Rodríguez-Villa, and the director of the Instituto Cervantes, Felipe Santos, have signed a collaboration agreement between both institutions in order to promote the use of Spanish for business in Belgium and Luxembourg.

As a result of this agreement, the Chamber, in collaboration with the Instituto Cervantes, official organism for the teaching of Spanish language, offers different Spanish and Spanish for businesscourses on each particular sector of activity:

  • Commercial Relations
  • Financial products and markets
  • Human Resources
  • Banking and Finance services
  • Insurances

The courses will be specifically designed according to your or your business’ needs. There will be different modalities: presence-based, semi-presential or online, either in groups or individually, in the company’s headquarters or in the Instituto Cervantes in Brussels.

Members of the Chamber will get a special discount, a discount on the official certification of Spanish language exam (DELE) as well as free access to the Instituto’s library and the different cultural activities organized by the Instituto Cervantes.

Success of the 6th edition of the workshop on social media management for business and European projects

Last June 8th and 9th, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg hosted the 6th edition of the workshop on social media management for business and European projects, in order to promote the image of the companies in the European market.

During the first day, after all the participants presentations, the teacher Philippe Schifflers started by explaining the role of a community manager, his/hers skills and things to take into account in this position. Afterwards, he explained the main highlights of different social networks such as Facebook, Slideshare, Google+ or Youtube, as well as many tools for the creation of visual content, design and even measuring you impact, all of them very easy to use.

During the second day, Schifflers focused in two of the most powerful networks: Linkedin and Twitter, and the different ways to use them for creating engagement and positioning our brand.

Every edition there are new sections in the program. This time there was a new section on event communication, in which participants could learn the process of communication and coverage in different types of institutional and corporate events through social media.

The workshop took place in a very participative and dynamic atmosphere, in which the participants had the opportunity to know the basis of a good social media management in their particular positions at institutions, organizations and companies.

Success of the 5th Workshop on Social Media Management for Business and European Projects

Last 21st and 22nd of March, the Chamber held the 5th edition of the workshop on social media management and European projects, in order to promote the image of business in the European market.

During the first day, after everyone’s presentations, the professor Philippe Schifflers started by explaining the role of a community manager, as well as the main characteristics and attributes to take into account in this field. Furthermore, he focused on the usage of different social networks such as Facebook, Slideshare, Google+ o Youtube, as well as many tools which, besides being very easy to use, they turn out very helpful for visual content creation, design or even the metrics.

During the second dat, Schifflers focused on two of the main networks: Linkedin and Twitter, and the different functions they offer in order to create engagement and optimize our brand. Finally, he conducted a practical case in which one of the participants showed everyone her activity online to promote her own business. The teacher and the other participants made a brainstorming proposing her different recommendations to improve her strategy.

Success in the first edition of the workshop on EU Funding – Project Management

The Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg, in collaboration with Swan Consulting, held the 23rd and 24th of November  the workshop on EU Funding – Project Management.

This first edition of this workshop, which was attended by 25 people and reached full capactiy, finished with sucess. During two days the attendees got to know the EU funding project management opportunities and how to take part in them. Besides, the EU affairs consultant Jorge Cisneros, who taught the course, explained how to identify calls and to draft proposals.

Cisneros encouraged the interaction among the participants, who expressed their doubts, opinions and experiences with the European projects. This led to networking as well as some potential collaborations.

“Active Job Search 2.0” – Free workshop held in the framework of Programa Jóvenes Belux

On the 6 October, the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg held the free workshop “Active Job Search 2.0”. The workshop was given by Philippe Schifflers, digital marketing and communications expert. This course took place in the framework of the Programa Jóvenes BeLux, supported by the Ministry of Employment and Social Security of Spain.

Around 15 young people attended to this course with a very participative attitude. “80 % of firms in Brussels, when a new professional is needed, they search among LinkedIn candidates”, outlined the lecturer. Based on this data, Schifflers focused the first part of the workshop on the ways to improve LinkedIn’s profile. The attendees could also learn some other useful tools, such as RSS, Google Alerts or Buffer that allow to customize the job search, and therefore, to save time.

Finally, the lecturer shared with the attendees the different methods to increase the chances of finding a job. Besides, he gave them advice about how to deal with the interview and how to prepare the motivation letter. The participants were really involved in the course with their interventions, in which they stated their personal cases and therefore the rest of participants could learn of their mistakes.

The Chambers acknowledges Philippe Schifflers for giving this workshop in their facilities and hopes it has been useful to the attendees.

Success of the fourth edition of the workshop on Social Media Management in European Projects and Business

On the 6 and 7 October the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg celebrated the fourth edition of the workshop on Social Media Management in European Projects and Business.

The aim of the workshop, given by the communication and digital marketing expert Philippe Schifflers, was to boost the visibility of companies in social media.

During this two-day workshop, different topics related to companies and social networks were covered. The lecturer talked about the figure of the community manager in a company and explained the different tools at its disposal, such as Hootsuite o the graphic editor Canva. In such way, the attendees received advice about how to increase the engagement of the public in social media.

The workshop was developed in a participatory and dynamic environment in which the participants could expose their doubts and comments about Schiffler’s explanations.

Success of the third edition of the workshops on Social Media Management in European Projects and Business

On 14 and 15 April the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg celebrated the third edition of the workshops on Social Media Management in European Projects and Business in order to promote the image of companies at the European market.

During the workshops, different subjects related to companies and social networks were dealt with. The figure of the community manager in a company and the different tools at one´s disposal were discussed: Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google+… Professor Philippe Schifflers explained how to create a Social Media strategy and how to interact and involve the public.

The workshop was developed in a participatory and dynamic environment in which the participants could get to know the basis of good communication in the company network.

Great success of the course “Workshop on Social Media Management for European Projects and Business”

On 15th and 16th of October the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg organized a workshop on Social Media to promote the image of the company in the European market.

In this project some topics were discussed including the role of community manager, the most useful tools to communicate within the social world media – like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn y YouTube- and the tasks to foster the interaction and the engagement with the public.

On the other hand, we sought to increase the participation of the assistants planning, executing and evaluating a campaign of comprehensive and efficient social media to the European agencies, organizations, programs and projects.
