BNP Paribas Fortish, the exclusive sponsor for Programa Jóvenes, and the British Chamber of Commerce in Belgium organise the 19th of October the event Expats Financial Affairs 2016 with the objective to offer the expats in Belgium advise to manage their finances.

The Expats Financial Affairs 2016 integrates different activities. On the one hand, the assistants of this free event, which will be developed in English, participants will be able to attend to informative and interactive presentations about investments, pensions, self-employment and estate planning. On the other hand, the expats will get direct access to experts of this field who will advice them personally and who will answer to all of their doubts. Besides, the event will encourage the networking among the participants, who will enjoy free drinks and food.

Rising Startup Spain program

A new call for proposals for the program Rising Startup Spain by ICEX-Invest in Spain was opened last 17 August. This initiative allows international or non-resident Spanish entrepreneurs to set up their startup in Spain.

For the last few years Spain’s entrepreneurship has been growing fast and Spain is emerging as a destination of choice for an increasing number of entrepreneurs ready to innovate and collaborate in a most conducive environment.
First-class universities, topnotch business schools, highly skilled human capital and substantial capital funding, public and private, create the right conditions for your start up to grow.

The program offers:

  • Free workspace in Madrid and Barcelona, two hotspots for startups.
  •  Prize money of €10.000 to cover initial startup expenses.
  •  Easier access to Visa and Residence permits.
  •  Instrumental mentoring to help you connect with potential investors.

Submission of applications: from August 17 to September 30, 2016

New collaboration between Radio Alma and the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg

With the objective of promoting and spreading the Chamber’s and its companies members’ activity in Belgium, the Chamber will start a new collaboration with Radio Alma. The Chamber will count on a weekly program in which the members who are interested in participating will have the chance to speak to the listeners and comment their professional experience in the country.

Radio Alma, the “Mediterranean frequency”, was born in 1986 and it is a multicultural radio whose objective is to inform, integrate and encourage the contact between the different cultures which live together in Brussels with a collaboration and participation spirit. This radio addresses particularly the South European and Latin American communities; this is the reason why, apart from French, there are programs in Spanish, Portuguese, Greek and Italian. The Chamber renews its partnership with the exclusive sponsor for Programa Jovenes Belux, BNP Paribas Fortis

The Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg has the pleasure to announce the renewal of the partnership with the exclusive sponsor for Programa Jóvenes Belux, the bank BNP Paribas Fortis.

Thanks to BNP Paribas Fortis and the Ministry of Employment and Social Security support, through the Programa Jóvenes Belux, the Chamber can realize job guidance to young Spaniards between 18 and 35 years old living in Belgium and Luxembourg. During this year different activities have been carried out, which include individualized coaching sessions or language courses. Some different events took place as well, such as the Social Networking Night, where the Spanish youngsters knew different tools available for the job search, encouraging at the same time the networking as a key tool for the job search abroad. This is also the purpose of a free workshop, Active Job Searching 2.0., which will take place on the premises of the Chamber next October 6.

Furthermore, the Program has a webpage with exclusive information foryoung jobseekers and local companies in search of new employees. Besides, every Monday a newsletter is published with job offers and news of interest related to the labor market in Belgium and Luxembourg.
