Describe briefly your professional background and how you came to the decision to open a restaurant in Luxembourg.

At the end of 2009, at the age of 30, I had the opportunity to join The Seven Hotel project as director, and I couldn’t be happier! A year later, the owner of the hotel offered Fernando (my husband), who was executive chef at the Meliá Luxemburgo, and I to buy the restaurant and of course we jumped at the chance, and since then, here we are! Fernando’s cuisine has been evolving a lot, especially after 2017 when we decided to completely reform the restaurant and changed the name. This is how the Bosque FeVi (FeVi means our names: Fernando & Violant) restaurant came about.

Fernando has worked as head chef in different restaurants in Barcelona, Andorra and the Costa Brava and I as assistant manager in different hotels in Catalonia. In 2008 we moved to Dublin, Ireland, and at the end of 2009 to Luxembourg. The decision to open a restaurant in Luxembourg came from seizing an opportunity. In the restaurant Bosque FeVi we offer a gastronomic Mediterranean cuisine and in our small Spanish restaurant, the FeVi Gaudium, which emerged with the pandemic, we propose a convivial Spanish cuisine.

What are FeVi’s gastronomic specialities and what services do you offer?

In the Bosque FeVi restaurant, with gastronomic Mediterranean cuisine, we offer above all the tasting menus to discover the essence of our cuisine: the Festival (with 11 services), the Gastronomic Tapas tasting (9 Tapas and 2 desserts) and the Cooldinner / Coolveggie (short version of the Festival menu in 5 services). Of course, you can also eat à la carte with exceptional products: suckling pig, Galician veal, suckling pig, Iberian pork…

In the FeVi Gaudium restaurant, with convivial Spanish cuisine, we offer a wide variety of tapas with quality products, 12 different types of homemade croquettes, dry rice dishes, fideuà, Iberian pork and typical desserts.

We offer all kinds of services, customised for each client and each need. Some examples of what we do a lot lately:

  • Groups of 10-15 people, with a 2-day meeting, a stay at the hotel, a teambuilding activity and a gastronomic dinner at the Bosque FeVi restaurant.
  • The “walking dinner” for groups between 40 and 200 people with barbecue on our terrace and restaurant.
  • Groups of between 20 and 100 people seated with menus from 3 to 9 services, with space for aperitif and dancing.
What added value does your company offer in Luxembourg compared to other gastronomic establishments?

There are many people who tell us that being in Esch-sur-Alzette is a disadvantage, but that’s when you don’t know the place! We are situated only two minutes from the centre of Esch and 15km from Luxembourg city (+-25 min from Kirchberg) but in the middle of the forest. We are surrounded by trees, with a large terrace in the middle of nature, a free parking, a building that has won an architecture award and with two restaurants, FeVi Forest, with a score in the Gault& Millau gastronomic guide of 14.5, and the FeVi Gaudium of 13 points and Mediterranean chef of the year 2 times, in 2018 and 2024 .

We have plenty of space for all types of groups, from seated (capacity 100 people) to “walking diner” format for 200 people. We offer all kinds of events: meetings, weddings, communions, baptisms, private parties… We also have The Seven Hotel, a 4-star boutique hotel with 14 rooms and a Suite.

What services or advantages can FeVi offer to other members of the Chamber?

With Fernando we thought we would offer a 15% discount to all members who come to our Bosque FeVi restaurant, either privately or as a company. This discount will be valid for 3 months, until 31 May 2024. We will then lower the discount to 5% for the whole of 2024. We encourage all members to come and discover FeVi! It will be a real pleasure to meet you.
